How to get hold of us, and answers to the things people ask most.

Write to hello@clovie.eu. An answer usually takes a day or two rather than an hour. If something went wrong, say what you tapped and what happened instead, and which version you are on. The version is at the bottom of the Us tab.

The other person can't see what I added

Both of you have to be signed in and paired for anything to travel. Open Us, and if it shows a join code rather than the other person's name, they have not used it yet. Give them the code, they enter it on their own Us tab, and what each of you already wrote stays where it is.

I don't want an account

Then don't make one. Everything works on one phone with nothing signed in, and nothing leaves the phone at all. You only lose the sharing, and you can sign in later without losing what you already wrote.

My partner can't see my cycle

A cycle belongs to whoever logs it. Either of you can keep one, or both, or neither. Yours shows on your partner's phone once you have started logging it, they can look at it but never change it, and it never appears on their home screen.

A reminder didn't ring

Open Us, then Notifications. Everything that rings lives there: event reminders, their default times, the period reminder, and the Android permission button, which is usually the culprit. Turning the permission back on wakes the reminders that were already set. Every switch there belongs to that phone alone.

Can my partner see the calendar already on my phone?

Only if you share it. Under Us, Phone calendars, each calendar the phone shows carries a second switch that puts its events on the other phone, and turning it off takes them back. Nothing is ever written into the phone's own calendar either way.

I want pounds, not kilograms

Us, then Settings, then the weight unit. It is a setting on your phone rather than a shared one, so you can read pounds while the other person reads kilograms, and neither of you changes what the other sees.

The theme and the language keep changing on me

They used to be shared between the two phones, which was wrong, and they are not any more. Update both phones and each one keeps its own look and its own language. Only the names, the nicknames and the colours you picked for each other travel between you.

I lost a workout I hadn't saved

That can't happen any more. Every set is written down the moment you save it, so backing out, a flat battery or Android closing the app behind you all leave the sets that were already in. Older versions kept the session in memory until you pressed Done, and that is what caught people out.

The app isn't updating

If Clovie reached you as a file rather than from a store, it will not update itself, ever. The version that does is the one in the test, and anybody can be in it: try it early. Write to hello@clovie.eu before you switch over, because the two are signed differently and there is an order to it that keeps what is already on your phone.

I want my account gone

You can do it from inside the app, Us then Delete account, and the steps are also written out on the delete account page. Whoever you are paired with keeps their own copy of everything exactly as it was.
