What you agree to by using Clovie.

Clovie is an Android app for two people to share a calendar, a shopping list, a recipe book, a training log and a cycle tracker. Using it means agreeing to what is on this page. If any of it does not suit you, the app is free to walk away from, and the delete your account page takes everything with it.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no subscription and nothing inside the app to buy. If that ever changes, anything you can do today will still be there without paying for it.

Your account

You can use Clovie with no account at all, in which case what you write stays on your phone. Signing in creates an account so two phones can share one household. Keep the sign-in to yourself. Anyone who can open your email can reach your account through it.

A household holds two people. Sharing an invite code gives whoever uses it the household's shared calendar, shopping list and recipes, so treat a code as you would a key.

What you write stays yours

Your events, lists, recipes, workouts and cycle entries belong to you. Nothing you write is sold, used to train anything, or read for advertising. What is stored and where is set out on the privacy page.

What we ask of you

Use Clovie for your own life. Do not use it to store anything unlawful, to harass the person you are paired with, or to break into an account that is not yours. Do not try to pull the service apart, flood it with requests, or work around the limits that keep it standing up for everyone else.

What we cannot promise

Clovie is provided as it is. It is software, and software has bugs and outages. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, Clovie is not liable for a loss that follows from using it, or from not being able to.

The app is not medical advice. Cycle tracking, weight and training figures are a record of what you told it, not a diagnosis and not contraception.

Where to get it

From the Play Store, through the early-access test. This site used to hand the installable file out directly and no longer does. A copy of Clovie from anywhere else is not ours, and we cannot say what is in it.

Ending it

Delete the app whenever you like. Deleting your account removes your side of the household for good, and the person you were paired with keeps their own copy exactly as it was. We can close an account that is being used to attack the service or to harm somebody, and we will say why.

Changes

These terms will change as the app does. The date below says when they last did, and anything that narrows what you can do gets a note in what's new rather than a quiet edit.

The legal bit

Clovie is run from Portugal, and Portuguese law applies. Nothing here takes away a right you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
